Zoo Lights presented by Florida Power & Light Company, FPL SolarNow has become a Florida holiday tradition for families and friends. While the animals slumber, Palm Beach Zoo is illuminated for the holidays with over one million eco-friendly lights. Each evening from 6 –  9 pm the Zoo will be aglow with unique themed displays throughout the entire 23 acres. The festive holiday fun also features photos with Santa (until Dec. 23rd), cookie decorating, seasonal treats and more!

Mark Your Calendar

Due to the popularity of Zoo Lights, nightly attendance is being limited and timed tickets are required for this event. All tickets must be purchased online, in advance to secure your spot. Tickets will be on sale starting in November 2021. 

Parking Instructions

The main parking lot of the Zoo may fill up quickly. Additional Parking is located just across Summit Blvd. to the south in Dreher Park South lots A, B, C, and soccer field. Please follow directions of our parking staff.

Drop Off

Once our main parking lot (on the Zoo side of Summit) is full, we will have a drop-off lane available near the main gate.

1. Is Zoo Lights included in regular Zoo Admission?

  • No, Zoo Lights is a special event and requires an additional ticket. 

  • Zoo Members will get special discounted pricing. You must be a member to purchase a member ticket.  We will be checking the list each day to confirm membership.  If we find you are not a member and purchased a member ticket your ticket will be voided, your money will be refunded and you will be asked to purchase a ticket at the correct price. Members are required to present their membership card when presenting their tickets.

2. Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

  • Yes, or your ticket can be shown on your smart phone. 

3. What areas of the Zoo are open during Zoo Lights?

  • Zoo Lights takes place throughout the entire 23-acres of the Zoo. 

4. Will I see animals during Zoo Lights?

  • Most of the Zoo's residents are more active during the day. You may catch a glimpse of a few animals along the pathways, however the main focus of Zoo Lights are the more than one-million LED lights, music, and holiday treats. 

5. Will the Fountain splash pad be running during Zoo Lights?

  • The splash pad will be off during Zoo Lights. A DJ will be entertaining families in the Fountain Plaza playing family friendly hits every evening. The s'mores station and libation stations will also add to the festive atmosphere of the Plaza.

6. Will the Carousel be running during Zoo Lights?

  • Yes the Carousel will be running each evening. 

7. Is food and beverage available during Zoo Lights?

  • There are several unique food options available during Zoo Lights. The Tropics Cafe is open serving a menu of meal options, drinks including beer and wine. The concession stand is also open during the event. 

  • This year you can also order online and pick up your food without the wait. Look for the QR codes in the Zoo or click here to order. 

  • The Fountain Plaza is North Pole Circle and includes a s'more station, funnel cakes, a bar, beer and wine. 

8.  What can I bring into the event?

  • No outside food or beverage.  No pets.  No weapons.

9. What's the refund policy?

  • This is a rain or shine event. No refunds will be given. 

10. Will Santa be available for photos?

  • Yes, until Dec. 23rd, Santa will be available for photos. After that he heads north to get ready for next year.
