A Wild Summer Camp Experience at Palm Beach Zoo

Summer Zoo Camp registration is now open for the popular Palm Beach Zoo & Conservation Society education program. Children from ages 5 to 14 can learn about Zoo life, including insight into careers in science and conservation.

“Zoo Camp is different than any other camp offered in Palm Beach County,” said Kristen Cytacki, director of education for Palm Beach Zoo. “Where else do you get to visit animals in their habitats and explore behind-the-scenes to experience the life of a Zoologist.”

Camps for ages 5 to 10 start weekly June 1 and continue until August 7. Campers will get up-close animal encounters, hands on Zoo-keeping activities, animal habitat visits, games, crafts, experiments, and enriching conservation activities. Some weekly themes include “Dr. Zoo Little,” “Art Safari” and “Jeepers Keepers.”

Camps for ages 11 to 14 start weekly June 15 until July 31, and offer two option; Junior Zookeeper Camp and Conservation Camp. Participants get a hands-on introduction to science and conservation careers. Some weekly themes are “Secret Life of Zoos”, and “Wildlife Vlogger.”

All camps are available for a week or all summer long. Before and after care and lunch packages are offered. There is also a discount for siblings. Availability is limited, and if you register by April 1, the registration fee is waived.
