Filming & Photography Guidelines

The Palm Beach Zoo & Conservation Society welcomes visitors who wish to photograph on Zoo grounds. All images made for personal enjoyment (non-profit making) are allowed free of charge.

All photographs should be taken from designated visitor viewing areas, or within the boundaries as it relates to special programs, engagements, etc. and the Zoo has the right to withhold or withdraw consent to photograph and video or to reproduce photographs or video of the Zoo, which includes zoo exhibits, animals, and buildings or otherwise defined. For guest and animal safety, photographic equipment (lenses, tripods, selfie sticks, etc.) cannot break the plane of any public fences/barricades.

While shooting, consideration must be given to other visitors, so the view of the animals and exhibits is not obstructed. Students who are using the Zoo for a school assignment will need to contact Naki Carter, Head of Communications & Public Relations, at ncarter@palmbeachzoo.org to discuss whether staff assistance is required. These requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis, and a fee may be required depending on the level of Zoo involvement.

The Zoo has the right to withhold or withdraw consent to photograph and video or to reproduce photographs or video of the Zoo, which includes zoo exhibits, animals, and buildings or otherwise defined.

Admittance into the Palm Beach Zoo & Conservation Society grants permission to the Zoo to utilize guests’ likeness, actions or statements in any live or recorded audio, video or photographic display or other transmission, publication or reproduction at the Zoo in any medium or context for commercial or promotional purposes without further authorization or compensation. Each guest individually and on behalf of his/her minor children further waives any right to pre-approval, royalties or other compensation arising from or related to the use of imagery.
