Ladybug Release Party sponsored by #FPLSolarNow, Saturday, February 10th from 11:00AM-3:00PM

ADD THIS TO YOUR TO-DO LIST: On February 10th from 11A -2P we're hosting our 4th annual LADYBUG RELEASE PARTY sponsored by FPL Connect #FPLSolarNow and you + your family + friends are invited! Bring the family for a day full of ladybug fun! Kids will enjoy ladybug crafts, face painting, and of course...ladybug releases!

COOL LADYBUG COSTUME CONTEST PRIZES: Children are encouraged to wear red & pink and come dressed as a ladybug for our Ladybug Costume Contest! This year's prize: A BEHIND-THE-SCENES FLAMINGO EXPERIENCE AND A FLAMINGO PLUSH!


Conservation of the Amazon: by Dr. Robert Wallace, Thursday - February 15, 6:00P-8:00P

You're invited to our award-winning Conservation Leadership Lecture event sponsored by Bank ofAmerica!  Explore the discovery of new species and the conservation of the amazon during a stimulating night with Dr. Robert Wallace. Doors open at 6 pm for this intriguing event, please enter through our admission gate. Cocktails & passed hors d'oeuvres included. DragonFest Celebration sponsored by #FPLSolarNow, Saturday, February 17th from 11:00AM-3:00PM

MUST-SEE ENTERTAINMENT! Join us Saturday, February 17th from 11A-3P, for DragonFest our annual celebration of the Chinese New Year, sponsored by FPL Connect #FPLSolarNow. The world-renowned John Wai Martial Arts Academy will celebrate the Year of the Dog with authentic dragon performances and lion dances in our Interactive Play Fountain area. Other highlights include face painting, crafts, a DJ, and a Komodo Dragon Keeper Talk for Satu, or resident modern day dragon! **MEMBERS ARE FREE**

Feed The Lorikeets (daily from 10:00am-4:30pm )

Explore the up close and personal escapades of these dynamic birds in our BRAND NEW Lorikeet Loft (from 10:00 a.m - 4:30 p.m. daily).  Nectar pricing (not included with Zoo membership or admission) -- $2 per cup or 3 cups for $5.

Education Events

Early Explorers Workshop: February 7th and February 10th

KID-TESTED AND PARENT APPROVED! Join our Early Explorers for an interactive educational experience designed for toddler and preschool-aged children! These special themed programs, created for children ages 2-4, include: up-close animal encounters, stories, games, crafts, and visits to animal exhibits throughout the Zoo! Programs for 3-4 year olds also include a snack. One adult is required to attend with each child. PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. 

**2 year olds: 10:00 - 11:00 am Wednesday, February 7th

**3 & 4 year olds: 10:00 - 11:30 am Saturday, February 10th

Girl Scout Badge Programs are Back!  

Is your Girl Scout looking to fulfill badge requirements? Then come have a wild time at the zoo, and earn a badge too! In partnership with the Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida programs are available for Daisies, Brownies, Juniors & Cadettes. Badge Workshops & Journeys may include animal encounters, behind the scenes tours, guided ground tours, crafts, themed activities, and admission to the zoo. Overnight programs include up-close animal encounters, a nocturnal tour, crafts, themed activities, pizza, and a continental breakfast. All programs meet badge requirements.  Pre-registration is required.
