WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Palm Beach Zoo is announcing the following special events and promotions for January 2018: 

Save the Panther 5K, Saturday - January 6 at 7:30AM: Registration is open for our Save the Panther 5K, presented by #FPLSolarNow on January 6th and the 2018 Big Cat Race Series! Every runner/walker gets a tech-style, short-sleeve, polyester, running shirt available in men's and women's sizes. Your registration also includes admission to the Zoo for the day and 3 half-price discount coupons for friends and family! Net proceeds from this race help fund our partnership with the Florida Wildlife Corridor, an organization working to protect Florida panthers and their dwindling habitat. Click here to register today

Into the Wild: Challenges of Wildlife Filmmaking by Tom Fitz, Thursday - January 18, 6:00P-8:00P

You're invited to our award-winning Conservation Leadership Lecture event sponsored by Bank of America! Explore the challenges in wildlife filmmaking as we travel into the wild with Emmy award-winning documentary cameraman, Tom Fitz. Doors open at 6 pm for this intriguing event, please enter through our admission gate. Cocktails & passed hors d'oeuvres included. Feed The Lorikeets (from 10:00am-4:30pm daily)

Explore the up close and personal escapades of these dynamic birds in our BRAND NEW Lorikeet Loft (from 10:00 a.m - 4:30 p.m. daily).  Nectar pricing (not included with Zoo membership or admission) -- $2 per cup or 3 cups for $5.

Education Events

Early Explorer Workshops: January 10th and January 13th

KID-TESTED AND PARENT APPROVED! Join our Early Explorers for an interactive educational experience designed for toddler and preschool-aged children! These special themed programs, created for children ages 2-4, include: up-close animal encounters, stories, games, crafts, and visits to animal exhibits throughout the Zoo! Programs for 3-4 year olds also include a snack. One adult is required to attend with each child. PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Click here to register now.

**3 & 4 year olds: 10:00 - 11:30 am Saturday, January 13th

Girl Scout Badge Programs are Back!  

Is your Girl Scout looking to fulfill badge requirements? Then come have a wild time at the zoo, and earn a badge too! In partnership with the Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida programs are available for Daisies, Brownies, Juniors & Cadettes. Badge Workshops & Journeys may include animal encounters, behind the scenes tours, guided ground tours, crafts, themed activities, and admission to the zoo. Overnight programs include up-close animal encounters, a nocturnal tour, crafts, themed activities, pizza, and a continental breakfast.
