Choose a Theme For Your Overnight Adventure!

Creatures of the Night:

When the cat’s away, the mice will play!  Discover the other Palm Beach Zoo as you explore the world of nocturnal animals. Program activities will provide children with an understanding of how animals have unique sensory and physical adaptations specific to their habits and habitats. Participants will learn about concepts such as echolocation through physical activity and night vision with art. This “beginner’s overnight” is the perfect adventure for students in grades 1-2.

Zoo Clues:

Someone has been causing mischief at the Zoo!  Put your problem solving skills to the test as you solve the mystery by examining clues.  Participants will begin their evening assisting in our whodunit animal presentation by using their listening skills and visual observations to reach conclusions.  Later, students will have the opportunity to work in small teams to crack several cases using animal artifacts. We’ll end our evening with a group scavenger hunt.  These cases are best solved by detectives in grades 3-5.

Predator Prowl:

Some animals eat and some animals get eaten. Find out where your favorite animals fit in and how the kings of the jungle earned their thrones. This program explores the ideas behind why each and every animal plays an important part in the world around us through interactions with the environment and each other. Top off your learning with a hands-on owl pellet dissection. We recommend this program for apex predators in grades 3-5.
