Volunteer Programs Fund

Volunteers are the “unsung heroes” of the Palm Beach Zoo.

Our volunteers work in every area of the zoo. You may have seen them roaming the zoo assisting guests… helping out at our W.O.W. or Wild Things shows… or working with the grounds crew to keep the zoo looking its best for our visitors.

Volunteers save the Palm Beach Zoo tens of thousands of dollars every year. And this helps keep admission prices down.

Last year, our 32 volunteers donated 9,982 hours of their time to the zoo. Thanks to a new recruiting program, we now have 175 volunteers – including 45 teens in our Youth Volunteer Corps. And they’ve given more than 32,000 hours to the zoo so far this year!

To provide you with an even more enjoyable zoo experience – and to keep admission fees as low as possible – we’d like to keep this program growing.

Our vision includes more education and training, enhanced resources and new interactive display items to add more fun to your time at the zoo.

Won’t you please support our Volunteer Program with a generous donation of $10.00, $25.00, or whatever you can afford? A gift today will help make your future visits to the Palm Beach Zoo more interesting… more educational… and more fun. Thank you.
