The Palm Beach Zoo is announcing modifications to its existing educational shows schedule. The changes will take effect immediately, and continue until the end of September. The two shows, “Wings Over Water” and the “Wild Things Show,” will switch their times.
The “Wings Over Water” show features trained birds in free-flight. Animal trainers showcase avian behaviors, while educating guests on the biology, natural history and conservation of bird species.
The “Wild Things Show” introduces guests to furry, feathered and scaly animals from around the world. The interactive show often uses comic relief to inspire people to connect with wildlife.
The new schedule is as follows:
Wings Over Water (WOW!)
Weekdays, 2:00 p.m. / Weekends, 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
Wild Things Show
Weekdays, 11:00 a.m. / Weekends, 12:00 p.m.
“With our beautiful Florida summer sunshine, the birds in our Wings Over Water show have found a noontime siesta quite helpful,” said Jan Steele, General Curator for the Zoo. “Both of our animal shows allow us to connect our guests with wildlife, help them to understand the threats these amazing animals face, and teach every visitor an opportunity to act on behalf of the animals by adopting one or more simple actions in their daily lives.”
