Palm Beach Zoo is giving away a one-year family membership next Saturday and Sunday to the guest who finds the “golden” egg.
The “golden” egg will be hidden somewhere on Zoo grounds on Saturday, March 30 and Sunday, March 31. Guests who find the lucky egg will be entered into a raffle drawing to win a one-year family membership to the Zoo. One membership will be given away each day. The winner doesn’t need to be present to win.
The Zoo's animals will also be enjoying the egg-citing time by getting some eggs of their own! All weekend long during our keeper talks, watch as creatures big and small hunt for eggs stuffed and hidden especially for them. From tigers to tamarins, lemurs to llamas, most of the Zoo's animals will be receiving eggs made especially for them by our Youth Volunteer Corps.
The youth volunteers created dozens of paper mache eggs as part of their recent training program. The eggs will serve as enrichment, providing stimulating and challenging objects and activities for the animals. Animals need opportunities to run, jump, pounce, climb, burrow, dive, hunt for food, and explore - all things that come naturally. Enrichment keeps animals mentally and physically fit.
Also during Easter weekend, Radio Disney 990AM will be at the Zoo entertaining guests with music, games and prizes. Their appearance is made possible thanks to Ready South Florida and Palm Beach County Division of Emergency Management.
