Palm Beach Zoo: October 2016 Special Events

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Palm Beach Zoo is announcing the following special events and promotions for the month of October 2016: 

Fiesta Cultural: October 1

Come celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at our 3rd annual Fiesta Cultural! See endangered animals from all across Latin America like jaguars, tapirs, giant anteaters...even a baby Mexican spider monkey. During the day enjoy a Ropa vieja special in the Tropics Café, mini chicken quesadillas and beef empanadas plus beer & wine in the Fountain Plaza. During the evening enjoy food trucks in the picnic area. All Music Entertainment DJ provides a variety of Latin sounds throughout the day (10a-4p). Then at 5p it's Tairon Aguilera & the Latin Beat Band live until 8:30p. Meet Juana la Iguana 5:45-7:45pm. palmbeachzoo.org/fiesta-cultural-2016

It's a fun, safe, not-so-scary, Halloween experience for your kids! Enjoy trick-or-treating, Costume Character Meet-N-Greets, Kids Costume Contests, Kids DJ, Pumpkin Decorating, Haystack Hunt and MORE!

Education Events

Toddler Workshops: REGISTER NOW!

KID-TESTED AND PARENT APPROVED! The Palm Beach Zoo Education Department offers exciting workshops designed for children ages 2 to 4 years! Age-specific crafts and activities are designed to excite and intrigue your child. Workshops include up-close animal encounters, stories, song or game, crafts, and admission to the Zoo! Workshops for 3-4 year olds also include a snack. One adult is required to attend the program with children. Register now for the popular Tree Traveler program:

  • 2 year olds: 10:00-11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 12
  • 3 & 4 year olds: 10:00-11:30 a.m., Saturday, October 8

Spooky Snooze Overnight

Join us on October 15th as we unmask friendly creatures of the night... it's a fun-filled evening of Halloween-themed activities including up-close animal encounters, pumpkin painting, crafts, and a night time tour. Pizza and continental breakfast are included. Activities are geared for children 6 and up: mummies and/or daddies must attend! Story Time at the Zoo: A Real Page Turner: Saturday’s at 10:30 a.m.

This popular event will take place at on Saturday’s at 10:30 a.m. at the Zoo’s Conservation Station by the Safari Train and the Wildlife Carousel. Story Time at the Zoo is geared towards encouraging children to connect with wildlife through reading, and it is included in the cost of Zoo admission.
