The bald eagles Shenandoah and Noble Peace invite guests to participate in the Palm Beach Zoo & Conservation Society’s “Red, White & Zoo” patriotic weekend from July 4, 2014, through July 6, 2014. The bald eagle was chosen as the emblem of the United States of America because of its majestic beauty, great strength, long life and because the bird is native to North America.

“We are proud to offer events, kid-friendly activities and wildlife presentations filled with family fun and patriotic pride on Independence Day, and through the entire holiday weekend,” said Ron Brooks, Events Manager for the Zoo. “Even the animals are getting into the American spirit, with daily patriotic ‘Wild Things Presentations’ and a scavenger hunt with a chance to win a red, white and blue Animal Art prize. For those who are looking to celebrate our nation’s freedom and independence, this is the perfect time to visit the Zoo!”
