We Care Kids Fair - Hosted by Parenting Plus Magazine

This annual event is hosted by Parenting Plus Magazine and provides families with dynamic hands-on cultural and educational activities presented by local service organizations and businesses. Conservation Leadership Lecture featuring Syd Kitson

Join us for an evening with Mr. Syd Kitson, President and CEO of Kitson & Partners. Mr. Kitson will share his plans to build a new solar-powered city called Babcock Ranch in Southwest Florida. In 2006, Kitson completed the historic purchase of the Babcock Ranch which encompasses more than 92,000 acres. Babcock Ranch is an exceptional example of environmental preservation and responsible growth. Enjoy an inspiring family movie under the stars at the Palm Beach Zoo! Our first ZOOvies presentation is RIO 3D on Friday, February 28th. Of course, we'll have popcorn, snacks, refreshments (including a cash beer & wine bar for those 21 and over), and up-close animal encounters. For your comfort bring blankets, cushions or low-rise beach chairs to sit on in the Fountain Plaza. Meet Perus, our hyacinth macaw, a close relative of Blu the lead character of the movie. This is the first ever outdoor 3D movie event in Florida, produced by Twilight Features. The Zoo re-opens at 5:30 pm and the movie starts at 7:00 pm. Admission includes full Zoo access until the movie starts. Please note, as we approach dusk some animals may not be fully visible. Admission: Member adults $9, Non-member adults $10, Member child $6, Non-member child $7, under 3 Free.

Sea Turtle Sunday Fun Day…join us on a two tank dive in Jupiter to sight some sea turtles underwater! Sea Turtle Sunday Funday will feature a two-tank dive aboard Kyalami on Sunday, March 2nd, 2014. We will be drift diving on beautiful Jupiter reefs and hopefully observing sea turtles on our dives... all as part of Force-E's Sea Turtle Week. After these two dives, the crew will grill up some food for us as we cruise back into the Intracoastal with some new friends and good tunes. What a way to spend a Sunday!

Frog Watch USA - Citizen Scientist Program

Come volunteer with us and learn how you can become a citizen scientist. Frog Watch is a program that allows volunteers to collect valuable data and frogs just by listening to their calls. The best part is that you don't have to be frog expert to volunteer! Simply attend our volunteer training course and we will teach you exactly what you need to know. Frog Watch USA - Citizen Scientist Program

The Palm Beach Zoo's Florida Hawksbill Project, established in 2004, represents the first systematic study of the hawksbills of Florida, and is designed to contribute significantly to our understanding and conservation of this remarkable species. Sea Turtle researcher, Larry Wood, designed a capture and release tagging program with hawksbill turtles to help him understand their life histories, their biology, their range, and much much more. SEA TURTLE WEEK: Hawksbill Sea Turtle Presentation Presented by Force-E Dive Shops

Join us at Force-E Boca Raton at 7 pm for a Free presentation by Jessica Lawler. Jessica is a sea turtle researcher for DB Ecological in which she collects data about sea turtle nest and the hatchlings. Jessica will go over what's its like to be a mother sea turtle and the activity she goes through to make a nest and lay eggs. She will also go over what its like to be a baby sea turtle hatching out into the world. She will also go over the sea turtle id and the conservation of these animals in our future. SEA TURTLE WEEK: Nesting Presentation Presented by Force-E Dive Shops

Green Market at the Palm Beach Zoo

Farm-fresh Florida produce for sale during a new Green Market Stand from 11:00 am – 5:30 pm every other Saturday starting March 8, 2014 and running through June 28, 2014. Visitors can browse a wonderful selection of fresh, locally-grown produce and other sustainably harvested items near the exit gate, and learn about how buying local produce protects wildlife. The market stand will remain open until 5:30 pm so that all zoo-goers have a chance to shop before they head home for the evening. This market will run every other Saturday from March through June.

Green Market at the Palm Beach Zoo

Party with the Turtles....that's right sea turtles can party too! Join us for a fundraiser party at Hurricane's Bar & Lounge in Delray Beach on March 8, 2014 starting at 4 pm. We will have food, music, and raffles and the money goes towards the Palm Beach Zoo which sponsors the Florida Hawksbill Project. We have photos donated by Wildlife Photographers, Two Tank Boat trips with local dive boat operators, and much much more! Price for the party is $10 if you register online before March 7, at the door $15...includes your entry fee & food, drinks are not included; however, it's Happy Hour so drinks are 2 for 1 from 4-7pm this night. SEA TURTLE WEEK: Party with the Turtles Presented by Force-E Dive Shops

Participate and Learn with the Palm Beach Zoo's Florida Hawksbill Project. Spend the day learning and diving with Nikole Ordway and Larry Wood as he captures and studies the Florida Hawksbill Turtle. Learn what the Hawksbill contributes to our knowledge about the ecosystem of our local reefs. Understand where they come from and where they are going and how far they range. Join us at the Riviera Beach Force-E 155 East Blue Heron Blvd. at 10:00 AM. We’ll break for lunch about noon and be at the boat in the Lake Park Marina by 1:00 PM for a two-tank dive with Larry Wood for some practical experience. The cost of the event is $110 and the proceeds will be donated to the Florida Hawksbill Project. The price includes Turtle Awareness class session, boat trip, and snacks on the boat.
