Hawksbill Sea Turtle Dive

News Flash!! Palm Beach Zoo turtle biologist Larry Wood is hosting a Sea Turtle Program and Dive this Saturday the 26th with Jim Abernethy's Scuba Adventures and the Shark Whisperer Foundation. $110 for the day includes an up- to- date introduction and discussion about sea turtle identification, biology, and conservation, and a two-tank dive on our local reefs to hone your sea turtle identification skills and contribute to the Zoo's ongoing hawksbill research and conservation program. Safari Nights: Cinco de Mayo (A Little Early!)

Conservation Station: Grand Opening!

Join us for the grand opening of our newly renovated children's area - The Conservation Station! This rejuvenated area will include our ever popular Wildlife Carousel and our brand new Safari Train. Green Market at the Palm Beach Zoo

Farm-fresh Florida produce for sale during a new Green Market Stand from 11:00 am – 5:30 pm every other Saturday starting March 8, 2014 and running through June 28, 2014. Visitors can browse a wonderful selection of fresh, locally-grown produce and other sustainably harvested items near the exit gate, and learn about how buying local produce protects wildlife. The market stand will remain open until 5:30 pm so that all zoo-goers have a chance to shop before they head home for the evening. This market will run every other Saturday from March through June.

FrogWatch Citizen Science Training Class

We are very excited to announce the beginning of Palm Beach Zoo’s first Frogwatch Chapter! Come volunteer with us and learn how you can become a citizen scientist. Frogwatch is a program that allows volunteers to collect valuable data about frogs just by listening to their calls. The best part is that you don’t have to be a frog expert to volunteer! Simply attend our volunteer training course and we will teach you exactly what you need to know. This will be the last class offered this year!!
