Great Student Promotion

The Gulf Stream Current comes closest to the mainland U.S. right here in Palm Beach County, resulting in a remarkably diverse assemblage of fish and invertebrate species. Join Larry Wood, Linton Creel and Laura Doran of the Palm Beach County Reef Research Team for a thorough overview of local sea turtle, fish, and invertebrate classification and identification, and help clean the reefs! Informational classroom session begins at 9:00 a.m., followed by an early afternoon two-tank dive to help clean the reefs and identify marine species. Sponsored by the National Save the Sea Turtle Foundation. Cost: $95 per diver; $45 non-diver. All proceeds benefit the Florida Hawksbill Project at the Palm Beach Zoo. Make reservations with Jim Abernethy’s Scuba Adventures: info@scuba-adventures.com or 561-842-6356. READ MORE by clicking on the event title above >>>
