Join Pura Vida Divers and Palm Beach Zoo's Conservation Biologist Larry Wood on May 12th for a two tank afternoon dive trip aboard Sirena.
As divers, we get to observe sea turtles in their natural environment and with frequent and regular sightings, we often become familiar with local trends. This led recreational scuba diver, Larry, to initiated the state’s first and only study to focus on the endangered Hawkbill sea turtles.
The Comprehensive Florida Hawksbill Research and Conservation Program’s study of our endangered Hawksbill sea turtles, encourages and facilitates marine research as well as the conservation of Florida’s coral reef habitats.
On May 12th, our goal is to conduct observational turtle dives, with the aid of Larry Wood, to view Hawksbill sea turtles in their natural environment.
The two tank trip aboard Sirena will include a boat pass, two air tanks, a donation to the Comprehensive Florida Hawksbill Research and Conservation Program, and a Pura Vida/Palm Beach Zoo “Reef Raff Hawksbill” t-shirt.
