OK, so we don’t have sea turtles, sharks, grouper, and the like in the Zoo!  But we still care immensely about their survival and their habitat and we hope you do, too!  For World Oceans Day we’re hosting representatives from Gumbo Limbo Nature Center, Palm Beach County Reef Research Team, Reef Rescue, Sea Turtle Conservation League of Singer Island, Florida Hawksbill Project at the Palm Beach Zoo, and other great organizations to help show you how you can protect these precious resources.

We’ll also have interesting multi-media presentations in the special events pavilion including Jim Abernathy’s “This Is Your Ocean: Sharks” and more!  Gumbo Limbo will bebringing a special guest - a baby loggerhead sea turtle!

Look for area dive shops, boat and kayak rental companies, professional underwater photographers along with other ocean and coastal related businesses in the Fountain Plaza throughout the day.

More details to come as they’re confirmed.  To inquire about sponsoring the event or displaying your goods/services call Ron at 561-533-0887 ext. 247.

Thank you to Hill Audio Visual for donating AV equipment rentals for the multi-media presentations in the Peggy S. Brown Pavilion.
