The first 500 runners registered will get a cool t-shirt featuring one of our resident tigers.  Register early to beat the scheduled price increases.  And remember, “Gift Registration” makes a great gift for the runner in your life!

The run starts in the Zoo parking lot then winds through Dreher Park, entering the Zoo on the west side.  You’ll run past the wallaby viewing station, fennec fox exhibit, ocelots, siamang island and more on your way to the finish line in the Interactive Fountain where you’re welcome to cool off in its dancing spray.

Your race registration also includes Zoo admission for 5/17/14 and three ½ price discount coupons for friends and family that would like to see you cross the finish line and enjoy the day at the Zoo.

When you register, please support our fund-raising efforts by purchasing your stylish Palm Beach Zoo sunglasses. They're perfect for keeping the sun out of your eyes at the starting line!

The Palm Beach Zoo is proud to participate in the Athletes For A Fit Planet sustainability pledge program.  The pledge seal indicates that we pledge to incorporate the following green or sustainable practices in our running event…

  • Reduce paper waste by requiring at least 80% online registration.  In fact, we will only use paper registration for a limited number of race day registrations.
  • Provide recycling bins at the event for recycling paper, cardboard, plastic, etc.  In fact, we have recycling bins throughout the Zoo for everything we do.
  • Use recyclable goodie bags.  We’ll use recyclable envelopes with at least 20% post-consumer recycled materials for registration packets/goodie bags.
  • Use green portable toilets.  The portable toilets in the SW corner of the main parking lot, provided by In & Out Portables of WPB, use non-toxic chemicals and recycled paper products.
  • We’re reusing signage from the January run during the May event to reduce waste and the impact of additional production.
  • Our awards are sources locally from Awards Etc. in Jupiter, made of recycles metals.
  • All food waste (banana peels, orange peels, un-eaten bagel portions, etc.) will be composted.
  • All unused food will be donated to the Palm Beach County Food Bank.
  • We’ll have a collection station for used running apparel and shoes for recycling, courtesy of the Nike store at the Palm Beach Outlets.
  • All athletes will receive information in their packets as to everyday practices that can help protect endangered species, such as the Malayan tiger.  We’ll also have keepers with up-close animal encounters sharing information on how you can help protect the species displayed.
