Off The Hookah on Clematis Street is throwing a street party to celebrate their 4th anniversary and raise funds for the Palm Beach Zoo! There are two parts to this party! As part of the free street party the Palm Beach Zoo will have display tables with interesting presentations where you and your kids can learn about some Zoo animals and Hawksbill turtles from 6- 7:30 pm. One of the ZooCrew members will be available for photos, too! There will also be a stage with live music and an exciting BMX bicycle exhibition and much more! Then from 7:30-10 pm, there’s a ticketed party with an open bar and free passed hors d’oeuvres. 100% of your ticket purchase goes to the Zoo and we sincerely thank Off The Hookah for their generosity! Tickets are $20.00 each; guests must be 21 years and older to partake in open bar, otherwise no age restriction. Live reggae and rock music by Seagrape Souljahs, fresh grilled food, and a cash bar with beer, wine and frozen drinks all start at 5:30pm. Green Market at the Palm Beach Zoo

Farm-fresh Florida produce for sale during a new Green Market Stand from 11:00 am – 5:30 pm every other Saturday starting March 8, 2014 and running through June 28, 2014. Visitors can browse a wonderful selection of fresh, locally-grown produce and other sustainably harvested items near the exit gate, and learn about how buying local produce protects wildlife. The market stand will remain open until 5:30 pm so that all zoo-goers have a chance to shop before they head home for the evening. This market will run every other Saturday from March through June.

Green Market at the Palm Beach Zoo

The Gulf Stream Current comes closest to the mainland U.S. right here in Palm Beach County, resulting in a remarkably diverse assemblage of fish and invertebrate species. Join Larry Wood, Linton Creel and Laura Doran of the Palm Beach County Reef Research Team for a thorough overview of local sea turtle, fish, and invertebrate classification and identification, and help clean the reefs! Informational classroom session begins at 9:00 a.m., followed by an early afternoon two-tank dive to help clean the reefs and identify marine species. Sponsored by the National Save the Sea Turtle Foundation. Cost: $95 per diver; $45 non-diver. All proceeds benefit the Florida Hawksbill Project at the Palm Beach Zoo. Admission: Adult Non-Members (13 and older) $15.95, Child Non-Members (ages 3 through 12) $9.95, Palm Beach Zoo Members and children under 3 are free. Admission includes access to the entire Zoo.
