The popular event will take place at the Zoo’s Conservation Station by the Safari Train and the Wildlife Carousel. Story Time at the Zoo is geared towards encouraging children to connect with wildlife through reading, and it is included in the cost of Zoo admission.

Guests are invited to have a “hopping good time” during the Grand Opening of the Palm Beach Zoo & Conservation Society’s newest exhibit, the Frog Bog, on Saturday, May 9, at 11 a.m. Select Zoo Members will release frogs into the habitat (pre-registration is required), and guests will hear a special Keeper Talk about native Florida amphibians and the important role they play in the ecosystem. Children will enjoy frog-themed crafts and games, froggie face painting, giveaways, and a follow the frog scavenger hunt through the Zoo.

Palm Beach Zoo & Conservation Society supporters will be heading “around the world” at the always-popular annual spring fundraiser, “Do at the Zoo.” The global celebration takes place on Friday, May 8, 2015, from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Zoo. Attendees can enjoy a movable feast from ten participating restaurants, sip on classic cocktails provided by BACARDÍ, dance to music from the ever-popular DJ Vlad, and even come face-to-face with some of the Zoo’s most fascinating animals. As part of the Zoo’s mission of reducing its overall carbon footprint, select lighting for the evening will come from solar-powered lanterns.

Take home farm-fresh Florida produce from the Zoo’s Produce Stand on the first and third Saturdays of every month from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. directly inside of the Zoo’s exit gate. Visiting the Produce Stand is free with the cost of regular Zoo admission! Browse a wonderful selection of fresh, locally-grown produce and other sustainably-harvested items, and learn about how buying local produce protects wildlife. At the Produce Stand, you can purchase the Zoo’s own bird-friendly, sustainably-grown coffee! You can also see a sample CSA box at the Produce Stand, now that the Zoo has become a CSA box pick-up site.
