The featured book during Story Time at the Zoo at 10:30 a.m. on November 22, 2014, will be “The Snow Monkey and the Boar: A Story of Old Japan.” The book is from a collection of stories called “Monkey Business: Stories from Around the World” by Shirley Climo. The event will take place at the Zoo’s Conservation Station by the Safari Train and the Wildlife Carousel. Story Time at the Zoo is an event geared towards encouraging children to connect with wildlife through reading. Story Time will be included in the cost of Zoo admission. Books are thoughtfully chosen with an emphasis on animals, as part of the Zoo’s mission of inspiring people to act on behalf of wildlife. A.J. Dasher, visitor services supervisor for the Zoo, will read to children during Story Time at the Zoo.

Palm Beach Zoo Produce Stand

Date: November 15, 2014 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Take home farm-fresh Florida produce from the Zoo’s Produce Stand. Visitors can browse a wonderful selection of fresh, locally-grown produce and other sustainably-harvested items directly outside of the Zoo’s exit gate, and learn about how buying local produce protects wildlife. The produce stand will remain open until 5 p.m. so all Zoo-goers have a chance to shop before they head home for the evening.

Veteran's Day Weekend Promotion

The Zoo is thanking veterans for their service, and honoring them with free admission to the Zoo. The Veteran's Day weekend promotion is offered from Saturday, November 8, 2014 through the end of the day on Tuesday, November 11, 2014, and includes the following: For all active-duty, retired or reserve military personnel with appropriate military ID, free admission for themselves and 50% off admission for up to three members of their group and for all active-duty, retired or reserve military dependents without serviceperson in attendance with appropriate military dependent ID, 50% off admission for up to four people in their group.

Palm Beach Zoo Produce Stand
