The book read during Story Time at the Zoo at 10:30 a.m. on March 28, 2015 will be “Little Owl’s Night” by Divya Srinivasan. The popular event will take place at the Zoo’s Conservation Station by the Safari Train and the Wildlife Carousel. Story Time at the Zoo is geared towards encouraging children to connect with wildlife through reading, and it is included in the cost of Zoo admission.

Take home farm-fresh Florida produce from the Zoo’s Produce Stand on the first and third Saturdays of every month from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. directly inside of the Zoo’s exit gate. Visiting the Produce Stand is free with the cost of regular Zoo admission! Browse a wonderful selection of fresh, locally-grown produce and other sustainably-harvested items, and learn about how buying local produce protects wildlife. At the Produce Stand, you can purchase the Zoo’s own bird-friendly, sustainably-grown coffee! You can also see a sample CSA box at the Produce Stand, now that the Zoo has become a CSA box pick-up site.

Tiger River Dedication / Learn More >>

Join us at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 7th as we dedicate our new tiger habitat, Tiger River! Grab your tiger masks, put on your best tiger face and head on over to the Zoo beginning at 9 a.m. leading up to the ribbon "untying" ceremony at 11 a.m. You won't want to miss being a part of the largest gathering of "tigers" in Florida! We'll have tiger-themed face painting and masks available for everyone in the crowd to not only help us celebrate our tigers' new home but to represent the last remaining tigers in the wild. Tiger River is the newest addition to our Kimelman Malayan Tiger Habitat sponsored by Braman Motorcars. Stay tuned for more "wild" details...
