Come enjoy a taste of the Tropics Café. Tucked away on the shores of Baker Lake in the Palm Beach Zoo's Tropics of the Americas Exhibit, the Tropics Café is a lush, luxuriant hideaway offering a variety of menu and event options in a unique tropical environment - truly a feast for the eyes and tastes. The Tropics Café's Amazon Basin theme, tiki torches and animal encounters are always memorable with attendees. The restaurant and catering facilities are state-of-the-art and our staff is always available to help plan and customize your special event.

Children’s Birthday Parties
♪ ♫ Happy Birthday to You! Let’s Have a Party at the Zoo! ♫ ♪
Children who love animals will love a birthday party at the Palm Beach Zoo! Zoo parties are safe, educational and a "roaring" good time for kids of all ages!
Party Information
- Birthday parties may only be booked for groups of 20-65 guests.
- For groups of 20+: Adults $7.00, Children (3-12) $5.00
- For groups of less than 20 guests: Regular admission will be charged and refreshments may be purchased at the concessions window or off the Tropics Café menu at regular price. Seating is available on a first-come first-served basis.
- Lunch is served promptly at 11 a.m. in the Tropics Café.
- All children in attendance will receive a bagged lunch consisting of: apple juice, airhead, a bag of chips, and your choice of chicken nuggets, grilled cheese, hamburger, cheese burger, or hot dog. All children's orders must be received the Friday prior to the party date. Cost per child: $6.95
- Adults in attendance will receive a sandwich platter consisting of a selection of turkey, ham, and chicken or tuna salad on a mix of white, wheat, and rye breads. Lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, and pickles are served on the side. Cost per adult: $6.95
- Add-Ons:
- Pitchers of Soda - $3.95 each
- Additional Bag of Chips - $1.00 each
- Private Animal Encounters
- After lunch, tour education department offers personal animal encounters consisting of 3 to 4 animals that your guests can learn about and interact with! Your guests are free to enjoy the zoo at the completion of the animal encounter. Cost per encounter: $75.00
Scheduling birthday parties will be based on a first-come, first-served basis, and it is recommended that you inquire about a specific date at least three weeks in advance.
Please Note: We require a non-refundable deposit of $75.00 at the time of booking. You must provide your own cake, serving utensils, plates, etc. Decorations are allowed however due to our animal’s well being no balloons, straws, bubbles, or small toys and/or plastic lids are permitted on zoo grounds. An 18% gratuity will be added to your check for your server.
