Yellow-headed Amazon
- Amazona Oratrix Oratrix
- As with other amazons, this species is an elegant shade of green with a yellow head and red-orange marks on the upper wings.
- They are native to Central America through South America.
- This arboreal species has zygodactyl feet, which means two toes face forward and two toes face backward which help it climb.
- They have been listed by the IUCN as endangered since 1994 due to a 68% decrease in population in just ten years.
