Yellow-faced Amazon
- Amazona Xanthops
- As with other amazons, this species is an elegant shade of green with a yellow patchy face particularly around the eyes.
- They are native to Central America through South America.
- This arboreal species has zygodactyl feet, which means two toes face forward and two toes face backward which help it climb.
- They have been listed by the IUCN as vulnerable since 1994 due to exploitation for the pet trade and deforestation.
