South American Yellow-footed Tortoise

Similar to the red-footed tortoise, the distinguishing characteristic of the yellow-footed tortoise is its yellow scales on the forelegs.
Yellow-footed tortoises are forest dwellers and do not range into grasslands.
Their diet consists of leafy greens, fruit, flowers, and some animal matter.
This species is classified as vulnerable and is currently not protected under any legislation.
