Raccoon

- The raccoon is adept at coexisting with human development, often living in close vicinity to peoples' houses and yards across North America.
- Other than during the short mating season, males and females do not associate with each other.
- Although few raccoons make it to their second year, they have been recorded to live up to 15 years in the wild.
- The diet of a raccoon is diverse including nuts, seeds, berries, insects, frogs, crayfish, bird eggs, fish, and even rodents.
