Ocelot
- Leopardus Pardalis
- The ocelot can be found as far north as Arizona and Texas and can be found as far south as Argentina where it inhabits tropical forests and scrublands.
- Being fairly small cats at 15-30 pounds, they feed mainly on small rodents, birds, reptiles, and amphibians.
- The biggest threat to ocelots has been overexploitation for their fur, even though trade of their skins was banned in 1975.
- They are one of the many SSP species that the zoo keeps in the collection.
Location at Palm Beach Zoo
