- Eublepharis Macularius
- This small ground-dwelling gecko gets its name from the black spots all over its yellow-purple body.
- They are native to deserts and arid grasslands of the Middle East particularly Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Iran.
- To deal with the unforgiving dry season, the tail of this animal is used as a fat reserve and can become so plump that it may be confused for the head of the animal.
- Females lay a clutch of 2 eggs 3-6 times a year.
