Jamaican fruit-eating bat

Artibeus jamaicensis
The Jamaican fruit-eating bat is found from central Mexico to Bolivia and central Brazil throughout the Greater and Lesser Antilles.
They live in moist open areas, buildings and caves. They construct tents made from the leaves of plants.
Jamaican fruit-eating bats have white stripes on their faces, pointed ears, and soft, short brownish, grayish, or blackish color fur, with a lighter underside.
Groups of adult female Jamaican fruit-eating bats are never found with more than one adult male.
They feed on fruit, nectar, pollen, flower parts, and insects.
