Indian Roller

Coracias Benghalensis Indica
The Indian roller is an elegant bird with iridescent silvery-pink and teal feathers covering its body.
They are common residents of open areas with sparse trees throughout most of southern Asia.
Rollers feed mainly on large insects, lizards, and frogs that they scan for while perching on fence posts, wire fences, or trees.
The courtship display of the males of this species gives them their name, performing various twists, turns, and dives.
