Grey-necked Wood Rail
- Aramides Cajanea
- This elegant rail is olive green to brown with red legs, a grey-blue neck and head, and a vibrant yellow bill.
- They inhabit swamps, mangrove forests, and other swampy areas from Mexico through to northern Argentina.
- Feeding mainly at night, these birds eat crabs, insects, worms, seeds, and nuts.
- Males care for the 5-8 offspring that are born after an incubation of 20 days.
