Green Anaconda*

- These giants reach lengths of up to 30 feet and weigh as much as 400 pounds making them one of the largest snakes in the world if not the largest.
- They are mainly aquatic inhabiting slow moving waters across most of tropical South America.
- Males form mating balls of between 2-12 individuals per one female and they may stay like this for weeks to battle over breeding rights.
- Their diet consists of fish, caiman, capybara, other snakes, and even small deer.
- The greatest threat to this species is man because most people fear them and usually kill them on sight.
