Crested Wood Partridge

Rollulus Roul Roul
This member of the pheasant family is sexually dimorphic with males being bluish black with a red crest and females being pea green.
The crested wood partridge is a resident of Southeast Asia where they inhabit lowland rainforests.
Their diet consists of seeds, insects, fruit, and even small nestlings of other species.
Despite young being precocial, babies are still fed bill to bill by the parents as opposed to scratching at the ground like most other precocial game birds.
