Common Squirrel Monkey

Squirrel monkeys live in the tropical rainforests of South America.
Squirrel monkeys are approximately 16 inches in length including their tail with a short greyish color coat and bright yellow legs. They are the smallest of their primate family.
Fathers have no part in raising the young. Females care for their young until they are independent.
Squirrel monkeys are very agile, with the ability to run through the forest on branches.
They eat fruit, insects, leaves and some seeds.
