Common Squirrel Monkey

- Squirrel monkeys live in the tropical rainforests of South America.
- Squirrel monkeys are approximately 16 inches in length including their tail with a short greyish color coat and bright yellow legs. They are the smallest of their primate family.
- Fathers have no part in raising the young. Females care for their young until they are independent.
- Squirrel monkeys are very agile, with the ability to run through the forest on branches.
- They eat fruit, insects, leaves and some seeds.
