Common Crow*
- Corvus Brachyrhynchos
- The crow is not only native but fairly common to the entire continental United States and expanses of Canada.
- They are omnivores consuming insects, worms, fruits, grains and nuts, as well as small animals such as frogs, mice, young rabbits, and carrion.
- Males and females build nests high up in trees where the females lay 4 to 5 light green colored eggs with brown markings.
- American crows are considered among the most intelligent birds; they are resourceful at foraging and are extremely difficult for researchers to capture in traps.
