Collared Peccary

Pecari Tajacu Angulatus
The Collared peccary is found in Southwestern United States, Central America and Northern South America.
The Collared peccary is also known as Javelina, Tayaussa or Musk Hog.
Collared peccaries have poor eyesight, good hearing and razor-sharp tusks.
They can weigh 35-60 pounds and stand 2 feet in height.
In the wild they eat agaves and prickly pears for hydration.
