Chinese Box Turtle

Cuora Flavomarginata
This moderate sized box turtle has a pale yellow head and dark carapace with a yellow ridge running along the center.
Being a forest dwelling species, the Chinese box turtle usually inhabits lowlands and river valleys of southern China and Southeast Asia.
They feed on an omnivorous diet including leafy greens and flowers as well as fish, insects, and worms.
The biggest threat to this species is harvest for food and the pet trade.
