Burmese Rock Python

Python molurus bivittatus
An adult Burmese python may weigh 200 pounds and can reach 15 to 20 feet in length.
The brown and beige blotchy pattern, as well as the two distinct lines that run horizontally on the head, across each eye help to camouflage this very large, heavy-bodied snake.
They are found in rainforest environments with thick vegetation near river banks throughout southeast Asia, southern China and Indonesia.
Their diet consists of a variety of birds and mammals. A large python is capable of eating pigs and deer.
Female pythons incubate 12 to 36 eggs at a time and remain with them until they hatch. By twitching her muscles, she is able to raise the temperature several degrees.
