Binturong
- Arctictis Binturong
- Binturongs are found in dense forests ranging across Southern Asia.
- They are slow moving animals that live alone or in small groups of adults with their young offspring.
- They weigh 50 to 90 pounds; females are generally larger than males.
- Binturongs are frugivorous, meaning they feed mostly on fruit. However, in the wild they are known to eat carrion, small invertebrates, fish, birds, eggs, leaves, and shoots of plants.
- Their shaggy hair is usually dark brown to black in color. They have long hair hanging from the tips of their ears. Their eyes are usually reddish brown.
