Barn Owl

Tyto Alba Pratincola
With the most widely spread distribution of all owls, the barn owl inhabits low elevation open areas such as grasslands, deserts, and agricultural lands of all continents except Antarctica.
The white face is oval without ear tufts and the body is covered with light grey to beige feathers, with darker wings and back.
Barn owls are monogamous forming pairs that mate for life, with females laying 2-14 eggs over the span of 20 days once per year.
Owls are expert nocturnal hunters because they have excellent low-light vision and asymmetrical ears that help them localize sounds made by prey.
They are protected under the Migratory Bird Act.
