The Palm Beach Zoo is thanking veterans for their service, and honoring them with free admission to the Zoo. The Veteran's Day weekend promotion is offered from Saturday, November 9, 2013 through the end of the day on Monday, November 11, 2013, and includes the following:
- For all active-duty, retired or reserve military personnel with appropriate military ID, free admission for themselves and 50% off admission for up to three members of their group
- For all active-duty, retired or reserve military dependents without serviceperson in attendance with appropriate military dependent ID, 50% off admission for up to four people in their group
- Veterans will get in free during the "Food Truck Safari" from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Saturday evening, but accompanying group members will not receive a discounted admission, since "Food Truck Safari" admission is already discounted more than 50% off regular admission.
“We are grateful to all who have served our country, and the families who support them,” said Andrew Aiken, President and CEO of the Palm Beach Zoo. “We hope by offering free and reduced admission, we can show appreciation for the bravery and sacrifices made by veterans. And in the spirit of conservation and with appreciation for our troops, all of us who work at the Zoo will be taking water-saving ‘Navy showers’ this weekend!”
