Palm Beach Zoo Offering Special Gifts to Visitors Who Donate Canned Goods on MLK Day

January 20, 2013

Palm Beach Zoo is giving away special gifts on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (1/21/12) to guests who bring food donations when they visit the Zoo.

In honor of Martin Luther King, Jr’s legacy of service, anyone who donates a non-perishable food item to the Zoo when purchasing admission will receive a surprise gift from their animal friends.

All canned goods will be donated to the Palm Beach County Food Bank to help restock the pantry’s shelves after the holiday season. Zoo visitors’ donations will go a long way to help those in need this year.

The Zoo will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. as usual on Monday. Live animal programs, keeper talks and feeding demonstrations will also take place as they usually do. Gifts are available while supplies last.
